HOUSE 13 Modes
Easy, Medium, and Hard as night counts — not as cosmetic difficulty stars.
HOUSE 13 difficulty is a night counter. Easy asks for six nights in your own home. Medium asks for twelve. Hard asks for eighteen. Those numbers come from the official survive badges, not from a wiki guess. This page ranks the modes for a new Roblox player who already understands Let In versus Close Door. If you do not, read getting started first.
Easy — learn the loop
Easy Mode’s badge: “The broadcast said to stay inside and verify everyone. You locked your door and waited for morning.” Survived Easy: “Six nights in your own home. You answered every knock and you’re still here to talk about it.” Easy is the classroom. You will still meet The Reacher, The Hitcher, and The Nester. The timers and spawn pressure are the ones you can learn on. Do not skip Easy because a YouTube title says “full ending.” The ending of Easy is still six verified nights.
Almost everyone earns the Easy start badge. Far fewer earn Survived Easy. That gap is the door. People lock the front and forget windows. Run the verification checklist until the six-night clear is boring. Boring is the point.
Medium — the count gets away from you
Medium Mode: “The emergency was supposed to last a few days. You stopped counting how many times you’d checked the windows.” Survived Medium: “Twelve nights. You’ve been noted. Not by us.” Twelve nights is where fatigue lives. You will mis-count closets. You will take a dark shortcut. You will Let In because the visitor sounds like the last safe one. Medium is the first mode where co-op is a real advantage: one player can be the night counter out loud.
Rank Medium above Easy not because the entities change names, but because the same entities get more chances. A 2% mistake rate that you survived on night four will land on night ten. Treat Medium as two Easy clears stacked, with a break to reset lights between psychological halves if the session allows.
Hard — nobody is coming
Hard Mode: “Nobody came to help. Nobody was going to. You kept the door shut anyway.” Survived Hard: “Eighteen nights. Your questions were thorough, your doors were sound, and they learned a great deal from you.” Hard is currently the rare survive badge — including a stretch with no awards logged at all depending on the week you check. That is not a flex page. It is a warning that eighteen nights of clean checks is the real endgame.
Hard does not ask you to learn a new button. It asks you not to drop the threat ranking order when you are tired. Scripts will look attractive here. They are how accounts die. See script safety. Play Hard only after Survived Medium is consistent, not after one lucky twelve-night with friends carrying windows.
How modes should be ranked for your group
- Solo new: Easy only, until Survived Easy drops.
- Duo that already knows the door: Medium, with assigned window and closet roles.
- Full house of 32: Easy or Medium. Hard plus randoms is how someone Lets In for a joke.
- Content creators: Easy for tutorials, Medium for tension, Hard only if you can narrate without opening menus every thirty seconds.
HOUSE 13 is released and online. Modes are not split-screen local. Everyone in the server shares the night. If one player is on Hard while another thought they queued Easy, leave and requeue. The updates hub will note if Dread Forge adds a fourth length. Until then, six / twelve / eighteen is the whole ladder.
Badges that sit beside modes
Emergency Broadcast is the join. Located is a discovery / fail-flavored flag. Entity badges (Reacher, Hitcher, Nester) can drop on any mode when you meet the interaction. Do not farm Hitcher on Hard as a first badge. Farm understanding on Easy, then let badges happen.
After you pick a mode, open survive the night and play one cycle in order. Then come back here and write down which night you died on. If it was always night five of Easy, your door is fine and your windows are not. If it was always night eleven of Medium, your fatigue is the boss, not a new monster.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common HOUSE 13 questions.
How many nights is Easy?
Six. Medium is twelve. Hard is eighteen. Those counts come from survive badges.
Can I start on Hard?
You can queue it. You should not. Clear Easy with the beginner guide first.
Does co-op shorten the night count?
No. It only splits jobs. See co-op.
Why is Survived Hard so rare?
Eighteen clean nights. Fatigue and one wrong Let In. Rank it last on this page on purpose.
