Get Started in HOUSE 13
From the emergency broadcast to a finished Easy clear without donating the house.
HOUSE 13 is a Roblox survival horror from Dread Forge. You spawn into a house under an emergency broadcast: Impostors look like people, steal their clothes, copy their voices, and knock until someone lets them in. Your job is to survive nights — six on Easy, twelve on Medium, eighteen on Hard — without opening the door to the wrong body and without ignoring the house behind you. This beginner page is the first-hour path. It assumes you have never pressed Let In.
Join from the official HOUSE 13 experience. Confirm the creator is Dread Forge. Copycat door games reuse thumbnails. Favorite the place, then join the studio group from the links hub. Group join is not a code, but it is the one social click that matters.
Minute one
Let the broadcast play. The description asks for headphones and max graphics. That is not flavor. The Hitcher is a darkness mechanic; you need to see which rooms are actually lit. Set graphics as high as your machine allows without dropping the door UI. Read controls if interact and camera feel sticky on mobile.
Queue Easy. Easy is six nights on purpose. You will still meet windows, closets, and the knock. You will not yet be asked to stay sharp for eighteen cycles. The Easy start badge is free. The Survived Easy badge is not. That gap is this guide.
Walk the house once before the first knock. Find:
- the front door and the Let In / Close Door panel
- every window you can see from the hall
- light sources you can keep on
- closets and wardrobes
You are building a mental verification checklist. Do not loot-tour during a knock. The knock is S-tier on the threat ranking.
The door, explained once
When a visitor appears, you get two official buttons: green Let In and red Close Door. That panel is not a Codes box and not a scan minigame. Your scan is visual and behavioral. How to play is the longer version. The beginner rule is: if anything feels off — delay, wrong clothes, voice that does not match the face, a knock at a stupid time — Close Door. You can live with a refused human. You cannot live with a welcomed Impostor. Deeper tells sit in identify Impostors.
The rest of the house
Between knocks, run this order every time:
- Windows. The Reacher climbs through any pane you leave late.
- Lights. Stay in illumination or have a lit room as your destination.
- Closets. Shut them. If The Nester claims a room, do not hide there.
That order is survive the night. Breaking it is how Easy wipes look like “random jumpscares.”
The walkthrough below is a real HOUSE 13 recording, placed here so you can see the door HUD and the house layout in motion. Watch until you recognize Let In / Close Door, then play. Do not watch eighteen nights of someone else before you fail your own night two.
First Easy clear
Play one night as a drill, not as a cinematic. Speak the loop out loud if you are solo: door, windows, lights, closets. If you are in a populated server (up to 32), say the same words in chat or you will triple-stack on the door while a window opens. Co-op is optional on Easy and strongly recommended on Medium.
Die once on purpose in a private mental note: which letter killed you? Door, window, dark, closet. Open only that child guide. Then queue Easy again. When Survived Easy drops, you have finished this page. Medium is twelve nights of the same verbs. Rank it on modes.
What not to do in hour one
- Do not hunt codes. None are confirmed.
- Do not inject a script. There is no verified paste, and Easy does not need one.
- Do not start Hard to “see the ending.” Hard is eighteen nights and a rare survive badge.
- Do not use Terminal 13 muscle memory for airport scanners. This is a house. The sequel is a terminal.
HOUSE 13 is released and online. Your first hour is a loop, not a lore dump. The lore is the broadcast and the badge flavor. Gameplay is the four verbs. Run them until they are boring, then you are ready for the rest of the wiki.
